Now for the summary of act I ! - Midsummer nights dream

What happened in midsummer nights dream act I scene I was Lysander admits his love for Hermia to Egeus and Egeus disagrees with it. Egeus being a father with an iron fist says no to Lysander loving his daughter, Hermia, and forces her to marry Demetius or die. The duke, Theseus, thinks death is too drastic and gives another option that involves Hermia becoming a nun. Hermia is given three days to decide what path to choose. Hermia of course, does not like any of her options, so she plans to run away and elope with Lysander. They plan to meet in the forest. Meanwhile Hermia's "best friend", Helena is still heartbroken over her ex-lover, Demetrius. Demetrius was in love with Helena then left her to be with Hermia, knowing that Hermia didn't like him, but has back up from Egeus. Hermia tells her plan to runaway with Lysander to Helena, who thinks with this information she can win back Demetrius. Let's see how that works out...

Scene II was short, but semi_important. The characters were the people who are going to perform in the play at Theseus and Hippolta's wedding. One character, Bottom, was very memorable because of his attitude towards everything. He felt he was more important than everyone else and should play all the parts. The most important part about this scene was the end where Quince, the director, told everyone to meet in the Forest the following night to practice. This is important because this is where Lysander and Hermia plan to meet to make their great escape! I wonder what's going to happen next...
