Now for the act V summary ! - Midsummer night's dream (FINAL)

This the last act in the book. After this the book is over. I hope it goes out with a BANG!

Hippolyta and Theseus are searching for something to watch before they go to sleep. they consult their wedding planner, Philostrate and look thru some plays. They stop amongst Peter Quince's play "A tedious short drama about young Pyramus and his love Thisbe, a very sad and tragic comedy" Thesues is intrigued at the title and decides to watch it. Hippolyta doesn't want to see it because she feels bad for the actors trying to do something good and being entertained by how bad they're doing it. They watch it anyway. The play was performed and Bottom said countless things out of character they were ridiculous. Thesues, Demetrius, Lysander and Hippolyta kept interrupting the play. The actors did a terrible job and the most obvious things were said as comical relief. The play ended with the actors finishing their play and Theseus and Hippolyta going to bed.

In my opinion this was an extremely entertaining play and the actors really were the comical relief. Sometimes is Shakespeare's plays you don't get the comedy but these guys it was more their actions because of their words not just words like a punch line. Their attitude was what was comical because they weren't trying to be funny they just were and that's what was really funny.

GOOD CHOICE MR.GALLO!

Now for the act IV summary ! - Midsummer night's dream (LATE)

Firstly, sorry for the lateness on this summary post.

This act is very short. It starts off with Bottom and Titainia chilling, doing their love thing. Bottom is using Titania's fairies for unnecessary things, almost like taking advantage of the love Titania has for him. Oberon sees this and feels bad for his wife, Titania for being in love with such a disgusting creature. Oberon pours the antidote on Titania's eyes and they walk away in love with Oberon having possession of the Indian baby prince. Puck removes the donkey head for Bottom and returns him to his natural face. Bottom wakes up and thinks it was all a dream. Being Bottom, he takes the dream and says it should be a prologue for him to have in the play. Bottom runs to find the rest of his crew.

The four lovers, Helena, Hermia, Demetrius, and Lysander wake up thinking it was all a dream. Thesues and Egeus walk over to where they lye and wondered what had happened. The lover decided not to explain the entire dream but, emphasized who loved whom. Thseus agreed with the lovers and later, Demetrius married Helena, and Lysander happily married Hermia.

The actors are unhappy and say how much they NEED Bottom. Then Bottom appears and briefly and indirectly explains what he had just gone thru the actors were glad Bottom was back and couldn't wait to perform at Thesus and Hippolta's wedding.

MUST READ !

Okay, okay I understand how 12 to 26 sounds like a terrible score and we should be so sad or whatever, but the Lady Tornadoes rocked last night at the Izod center. It was so much fun. Thank you everyone who came out and supported us. You're awesome!
This is how the game went... First we watched the Nets and the Cavs play (Cavs won of course). Then at the end of the third quarter the real fun started. The Lady Tornadoes walked down to this room all the way down to where the player run out from (long walk). I can't think of one player that wasn't nervous and had to pee (except me). The lady tornadoes were put in this very small and empty room to change. We had to hurry because we had about 10 mins (the longest 10 mins I've ever experienced)
Soon we had to get out of our dressing "room" (more like closet). We walked into this giant hall and had to stay there against the wall. The team was funny, they were so nervous (i love you guys!!). This was a very long process, we then moved to the area where the players walk out, there we saw the nets dancers taking pictures and playing around. Also, we saw the mascot, it was a wolf thing in a jersey that said 'sly fox'... wait, ignore that wolf comment it was a fox =o]
The game had a long 2 mins left and we walked out side the area we were in and into the arena (Humongous! There were so many people!) The whole team looked onto the court and saw Labron and his six-foot-eight-self! The team was so close together I could feel and hear their hearts beating; it was intense. Then the loud buzzer rang and the players flew away (none of them walked our way)=o[ When we thought we weren't getting any of the action camera's and phone started flipping out and a crowd began to create. I'm thinking to myself "who's coming?" and "I'm facing the other way so who could it be?" Bam* out walks H to the O-V! JAY-Z HIMSELF! In complete shock I put out my hand hoping to get a 'pound' or something... I got one =o] (well actually Kiera pushed me and my hand moved so he only hit my finger tip but still...)
Finally it was game time... well almost. The staff had to get the cameras off the back board so it took a while (again) the team warmed up with the Sharks (rival team). After a quick warm-up and stretch the game began. It was so intense we were tired (well I was it was a kinda big court). Although we lost the experience was so much fun. Simone made my night! I love you sim_sim (I'm not going to say what you did because, this is a little drastic over the Internet)
Well in the end I had an amazing time(and i can tell the rest of the team did too)! I love my team and I'm going to miss playing with y'all so much. Thank you for coming supporters! Thank you for the new uniforms Mr.D! Thank you for the coaching coach Corey, Coach Ken, and Coach Bonney (lol "coach")! Okay done for now!

p.s. Whoever didn't come... that's too bad because it was so much fun!

p.p.s I'm typing these thank you's as if they're going to read it...lol

Now for the act III summary ! - Midsummer night's dream

The scene starts of with the actors who are performing in the play at Hippolyta and Theseus wedding. Bottom (of course) is trying to take control of everything. While preparing to act out the play the team of actors run into a lot of problems. Bottom comes up with solutions but mainly benefiting himself. Puck being the jester he is turns Bottom's head into thus of a donkey (How hilarious?)Everyone else who was acting was frightened and ran away. One by one they came back
telling Bottom about his face. Bottom being an arrogant person ironically makes "ass" remarks (I'm guessing that was the comical relief).
The next scene was extremely dramatic and exciting. You didn't want to take your eyes off the page. Okay, so here's what happened Oberon is chilling with Puck in the forest when Demetrius and Helena arrive. Oberon realizes that Puck put the flower on the wrong person and is upset. While Puck finds it amusing. Oberon orders Puck to fix it. Puck put the love potion on Demetrius and he wakes up to see Helena (like Oberon wanted). Unfortunately. Lysander, Helena, Demetrius, and Hermia all in the same place isn't a good combination. Hermia is confused and saddened by the fact that Lysander has left her for Helena. Helena is upset and hurt by the thought of Demetrius, Lysander, and Hermia playing a cruel trick on her. Demetrius is upset the Lysander is trying to steal his women, and is madly in love with Helena. Lysander is upset with Demetrius for trying to steal his women and madly in love with Helena. The four of them arein the forest arguing over what and who is right while Oberon is trying to come up with a solution.
Lysander and Demetrius decide to duke it out in the forest for the love Helena. Oberon makes it dark and and foggy so they can;t see each other to fight. Puck disguises his voice as Lysander to lure Demetrius away. Then vice-versa. Puck puts the antidote in Lysander's eyes so he wakes up no longer being in love with Helena(back to normal). Helena, Hermia, Lysander, and Demetrius all fall asleep in the forest. I wonder what they're going to think when they wake up...

Now for the summary of act II ! - Midsummer nights dream

This act started off with Oberon, the king of fairies and Titania, the queen of fairies fighting over a little Indian boy and accusing each other of unfaithfulness or "cheating". It is obvious the hate they have for one another. To get the little Indian prince, Oberon begins telling Puck, his faithful fairy a story about a flower with magical love potion on it from Cupid. Oberon orders Puck to retrieve this flower and use it to turn his wife into a madly in love person and trick her into handing over the little Indian prince. While Puck is out fetching the potion Oberon over hears Demetrius and Helena. Helena is explaining her love for Demetrius and what she would do for him, while Demetrius is telling her to get lost and trying to get rid of her. Oberon doesn't like this so when Puck got back with the love flower he orders him to look for an Athenian man wearing Athenian clothes(Demetrius) and sprinkle it on him, making him fall madly in love with Helena, to a point where she can;t stand him.

The next scene starts off with Titania and her fairies. Titania was tired and asked her fairies to put her to sleep, they sang her a lullaby and Titania drifted to sleep. Meanwhile, Oberon's plan to sprinkle love potion onto Titania's eyes to convince her to give the little Indian prince to him, unfolded. Oberon sprinkled the love potion on the sleeping eyes of his wife, Titania and left before anyone could notice. This potion is to make the person who has it fall madly uncontrollably in love with the first living creature they see. I wonder how Oberon's plans are going to work out...

In the forest Puck is looking for the Athenian man. Puck searches until he find Lysander. Thinking that Lysander is the Athenian man Oberon was talking about he sprinkles the love flower in his eyes, and leaves. Helena then shows up and awakens Lysander. With the potion in his eyes Lysander wakes up and admits his love for Helena. Helena being an unhappy, depressed girl thinks this is a cruel joke, and storms away with anger and sadness. Lysander, madly in love with Helena follows behind leaving Hermia in the forest alone.

The love octagon is being corrupted I wonder how this is going to play out. Comment me with you thoughts...

Now for the summary of act I ! - Midsummer nights dream

What happened in midsummer nights dream act I scene I was Lysander admits his love for Hermia to Egeus and Egeus disagrees with it. Egeus being a father with an iron fist says no to Lysander loving his daughter, Hermia, and forces her to marry Demetius or die. The duke, Theseus, thinks death is too drastic and gives another option that involves Hermia becoming a nun. Hermia is given three days to decide what path to choose. Hermia of course, does not like any of her options, so she plans to run away and elope with Lysander. They plan to meet in the forest. Meanwhile Hermia's "best friend", Helena is still heartbroken over her ex-lover, Demetrius. Demetrius was in love with Helena then left her to be with Hermia, knowing that Hermia didn't like him, but has back up from Egeus. Hermia tells her plan to runaway with Lysander to Helena, who thinks with this information she can win back Demetrius. Let's see how that works out...

Scene II was short, but semi_important. The characters were the people who are going to perform in the play at Theseus and Hippolta's wedding. One character, Bottom, was very memorable because of his attitude towards everything. He felt he was more important than everyone else and should play all the parts. The most important part about this scene was the end where Quince, the director, told everyone to meet in the Forest the following night to practice. This is important because this is where Lysander and Hermia plan to meet to make their great escape! I wonder what's going to happen next...

Midsummer Nights Dream Act I - thoughts !

ou* la la* LOVE OCTAGONS! I love the story of this book. I mean when we first started the book I was sucked in the second I read Theseus' character synopsis thingy. I like Greek mythology and he's a god so it's like "Hey Muhyi, you'll love this play!" Love is a dangerous and everyone is in love in this play, it's like the perfect love myth/story/play. This book is so entertaining, and fun to follow each persons life. We're only on Act II (there's going to be more)! Aw* man I can't wait to read the rest!

My favorite character is Lysander he's so... poetic and touching, it's like if he was real and around in our time everyone would be in love with him. The person in my class doesn't have as much umph* as the real Lysander would, but he doesn't need it, like the words Lysander says doesn't even need to be said for you to feel the passion. Just reading it and you're like "I love you Lysander".

My least favorite character is Egeus so far. He's so... ugh* like why would you force this obviously in love girl to marry, Demetrius? I understand what time period it's in and women didn't really have much of a say but, so what if you think she's under a spell, just roll with it. Maybe I missed something in class but, what's so great about Demetrius? What's so bad about Lysander? Answer these questions for me with comments ;o]

Basically, I can't wait to read the rest of the book. My prediction is that everyone will end up hurt or someone will be dead, because love is fake and a distraction and only leads to heartbreaks, failure, and death (at least in Shakespeare's plays).

What do YOU think answer with a comment. ;o]

p.s.
I promised I'd say this ... ZACK IS LYSANDER

okay, bye!
